Happy new year and welcome to my newsletter, which will not only covers Photography as the previous 36, but it also includes other dimensions of music I have been working on. MusicTherapy is something I have always done, it was now time to bring it up. I am studying in Germany (in person) and USA (online) all the theory to put into practice as a full piece. It is interesting to observe how the activity has developed since participating in a workshop "Gambe, Xylophon & Kastanie" of the “Gesellschaft für Orff-Musiktherapie in Munich”, playing for a loved one at the “Malteser Hospizzentrum St. Raphael in Duisburg" or recently receiving a truly therapeutic "Advent Calendar".

Regarding Photography, 2023 was the most productive year of my career! On top of holding my first public exhibition I covered 72 events (concerts, festivals & performances). In the last quarter, the highlights were the Munich Jazz Festival at the Blitz Club & the Unexpected Music Festival at the Rote Sonne.

Music Classes were very interesting: on the one hand I started to teach classes online (welcome to my newsletter dear e-students), and on the other hand I taught 9 classes in Munich during the last quarter. which included 2 concerts, where we adapted lyrics and added 3 new songs to our songbook.

Music is a wonderful thing when you Play it, the magic could happen in couple situations besides the concerts above, starting at a wonderful wedding of very dear friends of mine (playing at the "Standesamt Fürstenfeldbruck”), then with Wolfgang in Trudering, starting a project in Salzburg and ending with a new monthly event "Breaths of Faith".

In the Music History, proud to recall (one minute) great voices from our collective memory such as José Duarte, Carlos Paião, Jane Birkin, Carl Orff, Carla Bley and Michel Petrucciani. Also, together with Classes/Pedagogy, two episodes of the podcast "Os Acordes do Kung Fu"

Frohes neues Jahr und willkommen zu meinem Newsletter, der sich nicht nur wie die letzten 36 Ausgaben der Fotografie widmet, sondern auch andere Dimensionen der Musik, an denen ich gearbeitet habe, einbezieht. Eine große Neuigkeit ist die neue Website, die mit einem Blog aktualisiert wird, eine Art kleines Tagebuch in meiner Lebenskomposition. Viel Spaß und teilen Sie Ihre Gedanken! Sérgio Oliveira

Musiktherapie ist etwas, das ich schon immer gemacht habe, jetzt war es an der Zeit, damit weiterzumachen. Ich studiere die ganze Theorie in Deutschland (persönlich) und in den USA (online), um sie in die Praxis umsetzen zu können. Es ist interessant zu beobachten, wie sich die Tätigkeit entwickelt hat, seit ich an einem Workshop "Gambe, Xylophon & Kastanie" der Gesellschaft für Orff-Musiktherapie in München teilgenommen habe, für einen lieben Menschen im Malteser Hospizzentrum St. Raphael in Duisburg gespielt habe oder kürzlich einen wirklich therapeutischen "Adventskalender" erhalten habe.

Was die Fotografie betrifft, war 2023 das produktivste Jahr meiner Karriere! Neben meiner ersten öffentlichen Ausstellung habe ich 72 Events (Konzerte, Festivals & Performances) fotografiert. Die Highlights im letzten Quartal waren das Münchner Jazzfestival im Blitz Club und das Unexpected Music Festival in der Roten Sonne.

Der Musikunterricht war sehr interessant: Einerseits habe ich angefangen, online zu unterrichten (Willkommen zu meinem Newsletter, liebe E-Schüler), andererseits habe ich im letzten Quartal 9 Kurse in München gegeben, darunter 2 Konzerte, bei denen wir Texte angepasst und 3 neue Lieder in unser Liederbuch aufgenommen haben.

Musik ist eine wunderbare Sache, wenn man sie spielt, der Zauber konnte sich in einigen Situationen neben den oben genannten Konzerten ereignen, angefangen bei einer wunderbaren Hochzeit von sehr lieben Freunden von mir (wir spielten im "Standesamt Fürstenfeldbruck"), dann mit Wolfgang in Trudering, ein Projekt in Salzburg starten und mit einer neuen monatlichen Veranstaltung "Breaths of Faith" enden.

In der Musikgeschichte erinnern wir uns mit Stolz an große Stimmen unseres kollektiven Gedächtnisses wie José Duarte, Carlos Paião, Jane Birkin, Carl Orff, Carla Bley und Michel Petrucciani (eine Minute). Außerdem, zusammen mit Classes/Pedagogy, zwei Episoden des Podcasts "Os Acordes do Kung Fu".

Dies ist nur ein kleiner Teil dessen, was in den letzten Monaten passiert ist. Bitte zögern Sie nicht, sich mit Fragen oder Kommentaren an mich zu wenden, ich würde mich freuen, mit Ihnen zusammenzuarbeiten. Ich wünsche Ihnen von Herzen ein wunderbares Jahr 2024.

Feliz ano novo e bem vindos à minha newsletter, que não só vai cobrir Fotografia como as 36 anteriores, mas também inclui outras dimensões da música em que tenho estado a trabalhar. A grande novidade é que o novo site está a ser atualizado com um blogue, uma espécie de pequeno diário na composição da minha vida. Aproveitem, partilhem os vossos pensamentos! Sérgio Oliveira

A Musicoterapia é algo que sempre fiz, estava na altura de falar nisso. Estou a estudar na Alemanha (presencialmente) e nos EUA (online) toda a teoria para pôr em prática como uma peça completa. É interessante observar como a atividade se desenvolveu desde que participei num workshop "Gambe, Xylophon & Kastanie" da "Gesellschaft für Orff-Musiktherapie em Munique", tocando para um ente querido no "Malteser Hospizzentrum St. Raphael em Duisburg" ou recebendo recentemente um "Calendário do Advento" verdadeiramente terapêutico.

Relativamente à Fotografia, 2023 foi o ano mais produtivo da minha carreira! Para além de realizar a minha primeira exposição pública, cobri 72 eventos (concertos, festivais e espectáculos). No último trimestre, os destaques foram o Festival de Jazz de Munique no Blitz Club e o Festival de Música Inesperada no Rote Sonne.

As aulas de música foram muito interessantes: por um lado, comecei a dar aulas online (bem-vindos à minha newsletter, queridos e-students) e, por outro lado, dei 9 aulas em Munique durante o último trimestre, que incluíram 2 concertos, onde adaptámos letras e acrescentámos 3 novas canções ao nosso cancioneiro.

A música é uma coisa maravilhosa quando se toca, a magia pode acontecer em algumas situações além dos concertos acima, começando num casamento maravilhoso de amigos muito queridos (tocando no "Standesamt Fürstenfeldbruck"), depois com Wolfgang em Trudering, começando um projeto em Salzburgo e terminando com um novo evento mensal "Breaths of Faith".

Na História da Música, orgulho em recordar (um minuto) grandes vozes da nossa memória colectiva como José Duarte, Carlos Paião, Jane Birkin, Carl Orff, Carla Bley e Michel Petrucciani. E ainda, em conjunto com a Classes/Pedagogia, dois episódios do podcast "Os Acordes do Kung Fu"
