A decade ago, I embarked on a journey that fused two of my greatest passions: music and photography. Today, I celebrate 10 years of capturing the magic of live music, a journey that has taken me across all continents (except Australia!) and into over 400 unforgettable events.

My lens has been drawn to the soulful whispers of wind instruments, the intricate harmonies of jazz, and the vibrant diversity of world music. Each performance is a universe of its own, and my goal has always been to translate that fleeting magic into eternal imagery.

This incredible journey wouldn’t have been possible without my trusty Camera above. Over the years, it has been my steadfast companion, helping me capture the raw emotion and timeless beauty of musicians who pour their hearts into their craft.

In my photography, I strive for more than just a beautiful shot. I seek intimacy—a moment when the artist’s soul becomes visible. I play with superimposition, creating layers that echo the depth of the music. I balance geometric forms, ensuring every frame feels as harmonious as the melodies it represents.

Ultimately, my work is an ode to musicians—artists who, through their craft, bring out the very best of humanity. My photographs aim to preserve their legacy, freezing moments of transcendence where their music plays on for eternity.

Há uma década, embarquei numa jornada que uniu duas das minhas maiores paixões: música e fotografia. Hoje, celebro 10 anos a captar a magia da música ao vivo, uma viagem que me levou a todos os continentes (excepto a Austrália!) e a mais de 400 eventos inesquecíveis.

A minha lente tem sido atraída pelos instrumentos de sopro que são a nossa respiração, pelas harmonias intrincadas do jazz e pela vibrante diversidade da música do mundo. Cada atuação é um universo único, e o meu objetivo tem sido sempre traduzir essa magia genuína e única em imagens eternas.

Esta jornada incrível não teria sido possível sem a minha fiel câmara. Ao longo dos anos, tem sido a minha companheira inabalável, ajudando-me a captar a emoção pura e a beleza intemporal dos músicos que colocam a alma, energia, espiritualidade e confiança na sua arte.

Nas minhas fotografias, procuro proximidade a sobreposições, criando camadas que reflectem a profundidade da música e do mundo. Equilibro formas geométricas, garantindo que cada enquadramento seja tão harmonioso quanto as melodias que representam, mesmo que as dissonâncias tenham lugar numa democracia de visionários.

No final, o meu trabalho é uma ode aos músicos — artistas que, através da sua arte, revelam o melhor da humanidade. As minhas fotografias procuram preservar o seu legado, congelando momentos de transcendência onde a sua música ecoa pela eternidade.

DE 🇩🇪🇦🇹🇨🇭🇳🇱🇱🇺

Vor einem Jahrzehnt habe ich eine Reise begonnen, die zwei meiner größten Leidenschaften vereint: Musik und Fotografie. Heute feiere ich 10 Jahre, in denen ich die Magie der Live-Musik eingefangen habe – eine Reise, die mich auf alle Kontinente (außer Australien!) und zu über 400 unvergesslichen Veranstaltungen geführt hat.

Mein Objektiv wird angezogen von Blasinstrumenten, die unsere Atmung verkörpern, von den komplexen Harmonien des Jazz und von der lebendigen Vielfalt der Weltmusik. Jede Aufführung ist ein eigenes Universum, und mein Ziel war es stets, diese echte und einzigartige Magie in zeitlose Bilder zu übersetzen.

Diese unglaubliche Reise wäre ohne meine treue Kamera nicht möglich gewesen. Im Laufe der Jahre war sie meine unerschütterliche Begleiterin, die mir geholfen hat, die pure Emotion und die zeitlose Schönheit von Musikern einzufangen, die ihre Seele, Energie, Spiritualität und ihr Vertrauen in ihre Kunst legen.

In meinen Fotografien suche ich nach Nähe und Überlagerungen, schaffe Schichten, die die Tiefe der Musik und der Welt widerspiegeln. Ich balanciere geometrische Formen aus und stelle sicher, dass jede Aufnahme so harmonisch ist wie die Melodien, die sie repräsentieren – auch wenn Dissonanzen in einer Demokratie von Visionären ihren Platz finden.

Am Ende ist meine Arbeit eine Hommage an die Musiker – Künstler, die durch ihre Kunst das Beste der Menschheit zeigen. Meine Fotografien sollen ihr Vermächtnis bewahren, Momente der Transzendenz einfrieren, in denen ihre Musik für die Ewigkeit widerhallt.
